Received the 2nd Prize at The 14th Chengdu-China "Sun River Prize" Students' New Music Composition Competition, organized by Sichuan Conservatory of Music. (20 December 2018)

The concert by the Orchestre national d'Île-de-France which was held on 10th april at Philharmonie de Paris is broadcast as part of "Le concert du soir" on Radio France. This program will be available for replay on the website. (2 November 2018)

"Fragment for akka" was selected at the Category B of Call for Scores by Ensemble H [akka] in Hiroshima. This fragment (20 sec.) will be recomposed with another selected fragments by the composition member of the Ensemble. (10 July 2018)

I won the "Île de créations 2018" composition competition, organized by the Orchestre national d'Île-de-France. The winning piece "In the circle..." will be published by Editions Durand-Eschig-Salabert, to be broadcast on Radio France "Alla Breve", and will be performed again on 7th April at Alfortville and 10th April at Paris Philharmonie. Biography

Born in 1989 in Nagano, Japan. Tetsuya Yamamoto has studied composition with Motoharu Kawashima and Michio Kitazume at Kunitachi College of Music. He has also studied the piano with Satoko Inoue, technique of conducting with Masakazu Natsuda, and the Shō which is Japanese traditional instrument of Gagaku with Mayumi Miyata. He obtained his Bachelor in 2012 and Master of Music in 2014 from the Kunitachi College of Music. After these education in Japan, he has continued to study in France. Studied with Régis Campo at the Marseille Conservatory and obtained the diploma of Cycle Perfectionnement (4th Cycle). Currently he is studying with Martin Matalon at the National Conservatory of Lyon (CNSMDL) since 2016.

Yamamoto has received several awards: Prize winner at the "Île de créations 2018" composition competition by the Orchestre national d'Île-de-France, Finalist at "The 38th Valentino Bucchi Prize International Composition Contest" in Rome 2017, 2nd Prize at "The 4th International Edison Denisov Young Composers Competition" in Tomsk 2016, 1st Prize and Special Prize at "The 6th International Antonín Dvořák Composition Competition" in Prague 2015, Representation from Japan at "The 31st ACL Festival & Conference in Singapore Young Composers Competition" in 2013, Finalist at "The 9th Thailand International Composers Competition" in Bangkok 2013, Prize Winner at "The 27th JSCM Composers Award" in Tokyo 2010, 1st Prize and Special Prize by the Mayor of Hirosaki at "The 8th Hirosaki Cherry-garden Composition Competition" in 2010 (President Jury: Hifumi Shimoyama), etc.

He has participated in IRCAM Mani-feste Academy in 2017, World Saxophone Congress "SAXOPEN" in 2015, Takefu International Composition Workshop in 2013 and 2014. And also his works has been performed in several festivals: Festival Music From Japan in New York 2017, Basklarinet Festijn in Utrecht 2016, Ryogoku Art Festival in Tokyo 2015, Bowling Green New Music Festival in Ohio 2014, Asian Composers League Festival & Confarence in Singapore 2013, Thailand International Composers Festival in Bangkok 2013, Suntory Summer Festival in Tokyo 2012 and Festival 5 Giornate in Milan 2011.

He is a member of the "Association Franco-Japonaise de la Musique Contemporaine".

Tetsuya Yamamoto est né en 1989 à Nagano au Japon. Après l'obtention de son master de musique à l'Université de musique de Kunitachi en 2014, il a étudié la composition avec Régis Campo au Conservatoire de Marseille. Actuellement il étudie avec Martin Matalon au Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et danse de Lyon.

Il a reçu divers prix, tels que le lauréat à l'Île de créations 2018, la mention honorable au 13e Chengdu-China Sun River Prize Students New Composition Competition à Sichuan en 2017, le finaliste au 38e International Composition Contest Valentino Bucchi Prize à Rome en 2017, le 2ème prix au 4e concours international Edison Denisov pour jounes compositeurs en Russie en 2016, le 1er prix et prix spécial au 6e International Antonín Dvořák Composition Competition à Prague en 2015, le lauréat au 27e JSCM Award for Composers à Tokyo en 2010.
